General terms and conditions of sale

Art. 1 – Registration / reservation

1.1 – In establishments

Booking implies full payment for the service and acceptance of our terms and conditions.

You can book or register either :
– At the reception
– By mail
– On line

Enrolment will not be considered definitive until full payment has been received at the start of the first lesson.

Group lessons are organised for a minimum of 3 people.

1.2 – Online

The website sells :

  • 1h30 surf lesson with equipment included (Board /Shorty / or Wetsuits)
  • Swimming lessons: 20 mins / 4 people maximum.

The customer declares that he/she has read and accepted the general terms and conditions of sale prior to placing his/her order. Confirmation of your order therefore implies acceptance of the general terms and conditions of sale.

Tariff 2023

  • 1 surf lesson: 35€ / 3-session course: 100€ / 5-session course: 160€ / 5-session course for a family of 3: 150€.
  • 1 private lesson: €90 / 1 private lesson for 2 people: €140
  • 1 Surf and Yoga class: €40
  • 1 swimming lesson: €20 / 5-session swimming course / 10-session swimming course: €160 / 1 private lesson for 1 person: €35
  • Aquagym / Aquaphobia / Ocean swimming: €20

To place an order on our site, choose your service and add it to the basket. Then validate your basket as appropriate:

  • If you already have a customer account on our site, please log in.
  • If you do not have a customer account on our site, please create one.

Depending on the case :

  • Tick the “payment” box to complete your order online;
  • Choose your method of payment and tick the “Acceptance of T&Cs” box;

Depending on the case :

  • We accept payment by credit card (Visa / Master card / Eurocard). When paying online, enter your credit card number, expiry date and the 3-digit number on the back of your card. Online payment is secure

We require full payment for the order.
Any cancellation made by the customer within 10 days of the start date of the course will result in 30% of the total cost of the service being retained.

The service will be reimbursed in full. Payment shall be made by bank transfer as soon as possible and at the latest within 30 days of exercising the right of withdrawal.


Confirm your payment.

You will receive an e-mail confirming your order at the e-mail address you gave when you created your customer account.
Check your order details and total amount. Correct any errors before accepting.


Final acceptance of the service will only take place once the order has been paid for in full.

In accordance with Article 1147 of the French Civil Code, we are automatically contractually liable to you in the event of failure to perform or improper performance of the contract entered into.
However, we cannot be held contractually liable in the situations listed below:

  • Force majeure
  • A foreign event for which we are not responsible
  • The photos, illustrations and images on our site have no contractual value. We therefore accept no liability for them.

Art. 3 – Medical contraindications

Students must not have any medical contraindications to surfing and must inform us of any health problems, even minor ones, when they register.

Art. 4 – Course cancellation

Any cancellation made by the customer within 10 days of the start date of the course will result in 30% of the total cost of the service being retained.

Any course started must be paid for and early departure will not give rise to a request for reimbursement.

In the event of adverse weather conditions (particularly storms, heavy seas, pollution, etc.), courses that cannot be run as part of the contracted service will, with the agreement of the trainee, be replaced by alternative activities or postponed to a later date.

If a replacement or rescheduling is not possible, the course will be cancelled and the customer will be refunded.

Art. 5 – Responsibility of the structure

Under-age students taken on by Estasurfschool are under the responsibility of their instructors exclusively within the time slot booked.

This includes the duration of the lesson and the time taken to assign and return the equipment.

They will once again be the responsibility of their parents or guardians as soon as the service concerned has ended.

Before leaving their child with the instructor, parents must ensure that the planned activity has taken place and that the instructor is present.

Estasurfschool’s civil liability with regard to its clients ceases outside the time slots reserved for the service.

Customers are strongly advised not to leave objects of any kind in the changing rooms (money, watch, telephone, etc.). Estasurfschool accepts no responsibility for breakage, loss or theft during the services.

Art. 6 – Customer commitment

By registering for Estasurfschool services, adults, minors and parents accept the risks associated with surfing under normal conditions.

In particular, they undertake to be able to swim 25 metres, to put their head under water and that they have no contraindications to surfing.

Art. 7 – Equipment hire

Hire of equipment implies acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions as soon as you register by showing proof of identity and completing the information and damage form.

This rental is effective upon payment of the deposit as specified in article 1.

Minors not accompanied by a legal guardian may not hire equipment.

The hirer guarantees to take out civil liability insurance.

Estasurfschool offers :

  • Surfboard
  • Wetsuit

The equipment must be returned at the end of the rental period, failing which a fixed charge of 10 euros per hour’s delay will be applied.

The hirer is responsible for the equipment for the duration of the loan.

Art. 8 – Liability

Article 1241 (1383) of the Civil Code: Everyone is liable for the damage he has caused not only by his own actions, but also by his negligence or recklessness.

Article 1242 (1384) of the Civil Code: A person is liable not only for the damage he causes by his own act, but also for that caused by the act of persons for whom he is responsible, or by things for which he is responsible.

Art. 9 – Reimbursement for damage to equipment

Surfboard

  • Broken or lost fin: 10 euros
  • Broken or lost epoxy fin: €25
  • Leash broken or lost: 15 euros
  • Any damage to foam/epoxy boards: €50 to €100 depending on the size of the damage.
  • Any foam boards broken in half or lost: 250 euros
  • Any epoxy boards broken in two or lost: 350 euros

Jumpsuit / Shorty

  • Torn shorts: 30 euros
  • Lost shorts: 70 euros
  • Torn jumpsuit: €50
  • Lost suit: €100

Art. 10 – Special conditions for groups

Registration is validated once the quote has been accepted and 30% of the deposit has been paid.

Any cancellation by the customer within 10 days of the course start date will result in the deposit being cashed.

Art. 11 – Facturation

A detailed invoice will be sent to the customer on request to Estasurfschool, or info@estasurfschool.net.

Art. 12 – Price of services

The prices for surf lessons, surf courses and board hire shown on the www.estasurfschool.net website or on any other communication media published by Estasurfschool are expressed in euros and include all taxes. They may be changed at any time without notice. The price is payable in cash on the day the order is placed. Prices are those applicable at the time of ordering, subject to typographical errors or changes in the French VAT rate. Any change in this rate would then be passed on immediately to sales prices.

Art. 13 – Data confidentiality

The personal data supplied by the customer is not passed on to third parties, with the exception of the payment platform for the security and insurance of online payments. In accordance with Law 78-17 of 6 January 1978, customers have the right to access and rectify their personal data at any time. To exercise this right, simply contact Estasurfschool by post. In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, you have the right to access, rectify and object to all your personal data at any time by contacting us by post.
